Y6 Sports Leaders in Action...
"As a visitor to the school, I found myself in the KS2 playground swinging my arms, marching, doing heel kicks and stretches, and all inspired by the year 6 sports leaders. Collectively they had put together a warm up routine and invited all the children who had arrived early to school to take part. One or two teachers had ventured out too. Judging by the smiles on the faces of the children this idea was well received and it certainly helped ‘wake them up’.
With the government encouraging children to adopt more healthy and active lifestyles it was great to see a school exploring the idea of an early morning work-out."
